I sold 16 options for September expiration; 11 expired worthless and 5 had been closed to sell further dated options with higher premium.
A new addition to my option trading is selling weeklies. I sold September 27 MCD and XOM puts. Although weeklies are riskier than selling further in duration, this new strategy will allow me to place more frequent trades. Currently, I use my available margin for put selling, then large amounts of time is spent waiting for expiration to trade.
Listed below are my September option positions. Premiums are the amounts of money I received after commissions. I did not list a profit total because I include my option premium totals in my blog entries disclosing my monthly income.
