I continue to make adjustments to my investment strategy in an ongoing journey to create a stable consistent income.

I recently began borrowing money to accumulate quality dividend growth stocks. I believe now is a great time for me to incur debt for a number of reasons: the interest payments are tax deductible; I hold no other debt; and the dividend yield is higher than the cost of borrowing.

I was offered a $20,500 from my bank at an interductory interast rate of 2.99% for one year. I used the line of credit to purchase shares of Fortis Inc (FTS.TO). The following week, I used $25,900 from my margin to purchases shares of Bonterra Energy Corp (BNE.TO). Total = $46,400

To my own amazement, I am very comfortable with my debt.
